My passion has always been helping people look and feel their best. After 5+ years working alongside outstanding dermatology professionals, I developed a strong foundation in skin health, cosmetics and patient care. I furthered my education through advanced training with a 9x certified PMU artist and created Shaped & Shaded Permanent Makeup to blend my clinical knowledge with cosmetic tattooing. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space to give you brows that enhance your natural beauty.

Outside of medical assisting and client time I enjoy being a mom to 1 daughter + 2 dogs, camping, fishing, reading (give me all the book recs), and spending time with my husband who is a realism tattoo artist with 15+ years' experience.

WHO MAY NOT BE A CANDIDATE FOR COSMETIC TATTOOING

Under 18 years of age
Pregnant or nursing
Skin conditions within the brow area, including eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sunburn, active acne, or open wounds
Diabetes (must be well controlled and physician clearance is recommended)
Epilepsy (must be well controlled and physician clearance is recommended)
Autoimmune disease (may result in a more complex healing process)
Taking blood-thinning medications (physician clearance is recommended)
Nickel allergy (please request a patch test prior to booking)
Undergoing chemotherapy or completed chemotherapy within the past year
Organ transplant recipient
Taken Accutane within the past year
History of hyperpigmentation and/or keloid scarring
Previous cosmetic tattooing

PREPARATIONS

WHO MAY NOT BE A CANDIDATE FOR COSMETIC TATTOOING

Stop using retinoids, Retin-A/Tretinoin, glycolic acid, lactic acid, and other exfoliating (AHA) products at least 14 days before your appointment. These products thin the skin and can affect pigment retention.
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Niacin) for 48 hours before your appointment, unless prescribed by your physician.
Discontinue fish oil and turmeric supplements at least 14 days prior, if approved by your healthcare provider.
Do not take antibiotics or steroids within 2 weeks of your appointment.
Avoid tanning or arriving with sunburned skin. Sunburned or damaged skin cannot be tattooed.
Schedule Botox or filler treatments at least 2 weeks before or after your permanent makeup appointment.
Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, electrolysis, exfoliating treatments, and facial procedures for 14 days before your appointment.
If you have scars or moles in the treatment area, please let us know. Pigment retention over scar tissue cannot be guaranteed, and moles will not be tattooed.
On the day of your appointment, avoid caffeine and strenuous exercise, as both can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention.
If you have an iron deficiency, continue taking your prescribed iron supplements to support optimal healed color.

Following these guidelines helps minimize bleeding, promotes proper healing, and improves your final result.

HEALING PROCESS

Healing is a two-step process, and your final results will not be visible until after your perfecting touch-up appointment.

Mild redness and tenderness are normal for the first few hours.
Your brows will appear darker and more defined immediately after your appointment. This is temporary and will soften as they heal.
Light flaking typically begins within a few days. Do not pick or peel the flaking skin, as this can affect your results.
During healing, your brows may appear lighter or as though the pigment has disappeared. This is a normal part of the healing process, and the color will gradually return as your skin heals.
Mild itching is also a normal part of healing.

AFTERCARE

HEALING PROCESS

Proper aftercare is essential for the best healed results. Follow these instructions for 7–14 days, or until all flaking has stopped.

Wash your brows gently morning and evening with a mild, fragrance-free antimicrobial soap using clean hands.
Pat dry with a clean towel—do not rub.
Apply a very thin layer of the provided aftercare ointment after cleansing (a rice grain-sized amount is sufficient for both brows).
You may wash the rest of your face as usual, avoiding the brow area except when cleansing as directed.

During Healing, Please Avoid

Touching or scratching the treated area.
Picking or peeling flaking skin.
Makeup, skincare products, SPF, retinoids, exfoliants, or acids on the brows.
Excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, or steam.
Direct sun or UV exposure.
Direct water pressure on the brows (other than gentle cleansing).
Petroleum-based products unless specifically recommended.
Facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, massages, or other skin treatments until fully healed.
